Welcome to In-Touch Magazine’s summer edition. We’re celebrating Summertime in Greater Cincinnati. I am not a golfer and for many reasons I should be. I live on a golf course; my husband is a Golf Pro and my three sons (7 years old and younger) have their own clubs and can out drive me. I always said if they would just make an express course that I could play within an hour, I would play more often. But that is not what golf is about. My goal this summer is to slow down, enjoy the summer and not ask…where did the summer go? Our Summer edition of In-Touch is packed full of summer time activities to enjoy right here in our hometown. I have lived here for over 30 years and have only visited a quarter of the activities listed. From farmers markets, festivals and free events there is so much to enjoy so get out and explore. Be a tourist in your hometown! Our cover story is inspirational on many levels. Janet Carl is a great role model for career women and her student athletes to find their passion and enjoy their career each and every day. It’s evident that she loves golf not only for the sport, but as an activity that keeps you young, involved, and connected. Her story also inspired me to take time to play golf . I love that my sons enjoy the game, have learned patience and etiquette, and because it takes four hours to play a round, I always know where they are.
